It may be a bit early, but I want to start a thread to see if anybody has received an interview invite from Harvard, Stanford or Wharton?

It is not too early for this thread... Stanford did send their first invitation yesterday...

keeping in mind that their first invitation went out as soon as deadline for application submission was over, I guess they must be targeting some very high profile person. Is Obama thinking of doing an MBA ?

Stanford actually sent out their first invite *before* the first round was due, on October 2, according to their blog...http://www.stanford.edu/group/mba/blog.  Even crazier.  Agree that it must have been someone with a nutty resume.  And nutty-quick prep, to get their app in that early--presumably they got their app in *at least* a week before the 2nd, probably a bit more.

Alternately, perhaps it was a (very impressive) re-applicant that they had previously given very positive marks to, but asked to reapply in a year, for w/e?

Stanford started reviewing applications before the submission deadline thereby putting itself into a position to start handing out interview invitations right away. That is all.

Check out the latest blog entry by the HBS admission director. HBS will start sending out interview invitations from Oct 16. That's really early - 2 weeks from deadline....Keep me posted if anyone gets an invitation. fingers crossed.....
