Hello everyone!

Starting a new thread for Fuqua R1 applicants. Good luck to everyone.

Best,
Ankush

I did see that.

But there are advantages to having Round specific threads. For example, even before Round 1 results are out, Round 2 folks would have finished their applications. In such cases, it becomes difficult for R1 candidates to track their updates/questions because R2 candidates would also be posting on the same thread. The same situation will happen for R2 and R3 candidates.

So it would make sense to have Round specific threads. My 2 cents.

i went to visit duke last year and loved it.  the students there are truly outgoing and welcoming.  fuqua's facilities are top notch, after finally visiting another school, fuqua definitely has a modern, more up to date fee.  as for the city, durham is just ok, i can tell it will get old after awhile as there isn't much to do, but aside from the just ok location, fuqua is a great place.

I'm not sure I understand your question about "what's so special about Blue Devil Weekend?"  It's the admitted students' weekend.  I'm sure that other schools have similarly high attendance rates for admitted students' weekends because this is the one chance admitted students have to meet a large number of their potential classmates prior to matriculating.  I'm sure it's very nice too, as an aside.  An MBA is a big investment so this is arguably the best weekend for admitted students to determine if they want to attend Fuqua.

As I'm sure you know, Duke is a private school and not just some North Carolina state school.  Appropriately, there are students from all over the country and world there so it's not like it's just Southerners or that there's an overly Southern feel.  Also, no one will know better than you in terms of if you'll fit in, which is probably why no one answered you.  Go visit and meet some students and see if you feel you fit in.
