I'm surprized to see that long-time Steelers owner Dan Rooney didn't make the list.  Rooney is one of the most influential owners in the NFL.  He's done a lot for minority coaches in the NFL with the Rooney Rule and he played a huge role in picking Roger Goodell as the successor to Paul Taglibue as commmisioner.

On a side note, I'd also like to put in a shameless plug in for economist/President of US Soccer Sunil Gulati.  He's one of my professors at Columbia, and he has lot of pull among high level personel like Robert Kraft.  I'm not saying this to get extra credit, but they guy is pretty legit.
