What Wall Street needs is a "Google-Powered Sarbanes Oxley", which makes it necessary to have transparent information about all the underlying assets that make up each derivative. If buyers were given info such as: (1) mortgage payment history, (2) credit scores, and (3) an approximate real-time home value, than they would be much more inclined to buy derivatives.
