Just submitted my application for Kellogg. Thought I wouldnt say this, but really enjoyed writing essays for Kellogg. Really forced me to introspect and look inwards.
Regarding application numbers this year, I found this article on beat the gmat http://www.beatthegmat.com/a/2009/09/02/the-rise-and-fall-of-mba-application-volumes-a-less-competitive-year
Overall, they're predicting lower applications from internationals and people with stable jobs.
Also, was talking to an MIT adcom person about application numbers and rise in GMAT tests taken and he mentioned that due to increased competition applicants applied to 5-8 schools instead of 2-3 and took the GMAT multiple times and that he expects overall the applications numbers to be flat or increase 4-5% this year. Worth sharing with the forum.
Good luck y'all!
